- To check condition of refrigerant while system in ON
- On receiver drier or between condenser-expansion valve
- Using sight glass
- Start engine, on A/c control to max cooling /blower& for 5min
- Remove cap of sight glass
- Note condition
- Clear glass-good/bad correct refrigerant, No refrigerant or overcharged
- Occasional bubbled-Low refrigerant
- Heavy stream-very low refrigerant
- Oil streaks-extremely low refrigerant
- Dark cloudy-Desiccant is deteriorated/contaminants
